Future connects people with world-class personal trainers.
Future needed a mobile and watch experience that would foster human connection between a remote personal trainer and trainee.
We took a hands-on rapid and iterative approach, with weekly working sessions with the founders at Future’s San Francisco headquarters.
Over the course of 6 weeks we developed the initial MVP features required to prepare Future for a closed Beta phase. This included the mobile experience, a brand refresh, a photoshoot, and a website.
The primary way Future trainers and trainees interact is through the mobile app.
Future is built around the workout program created by the trainer for their trainees. Upon opening the app, the trainee can quickly start a workout and track their progress with their trainer.
You can’t improve what you don’t measure. With Future, trainees work with their trainers on personal goals. Qualitative and quantitative data allows both sides to identify progress and areas for growth.
The watch app served as an alternative to the mobile app, with a focus on the workout part of the experience. The biometric data collected during workouts is shared with trainers, giving them a broader view into their trainee’s progress and growth areas.
Given that Future was opening up to a broader group of people with this release, they needed a website that would allow new users to begin their Future journey and a place to collect email addresses of folks who want to use the product.
The work we did together expanded the user experience to account for all the MVP features and helped reduce manual processes that Future had temporarily adopted to get the product off the ground. This allowed Future to widen their customer base from a private Alpha group to a closed Beta and set them up for growth.
